Samuel Thompson has worked as a Teacher, Community Facilitator, and Programmes Manager and acted as the Executive Director of a Foundation. He is presently, the Policy and Planning Coordinator at COTVET.
He has vast experience in developing policies and strategies for programme implementation. A role he has played at Ntiamoah Foundation Plan International (Ghana).
His knowledge and skills sets are anchored in his education from St. John Bosco's Training College where he trained as a teacher; University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast where he obtained a Bachelor of Education degree and capped it with a Masters degree in Development Studies at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) at the University of Ghana, Legon.
As the Policy and Planning Coordinator, Mr. Thompson coordinates all policy concerns and strategies related to TVET/TVSD across MDAs and sectors; handles research portfolios and is focused on delving into the dynamics of the mismatches of demand and supply of skills in industry. He is the Secretary to the National Apprenticeship Committee and coordinates the National Apprenticeship Programme.
